Sol Duc Triptych & Tunnel Vision: When we first started hiking out to the actual Sol Duc Falls, I completley wrote off this stream on the way there.

I had the main falls in my minds eye, and was not observing my surroundings as much as I thought I was. Sure I was looking at the beautiful trees, listening to the birds, and loving all of it…but was I really seeing and connecting? Not so much.

After over 20 years of of trying to slow down and take in the environment with a camera, I still find that I need to remind myself to stop and really take in what is there. I think these 3 images will be my favorite from the whole trip, glad my companions stopped here to shoot, I probably would have passed it on a second time if they did not 🙂
